How about you tell us what makes YOU the happiest? (:
This is a hard question… I guess, to start off with, I’d say that you have the potential to make me the happiest. I like talking to you. I like hearing what you have to say about things. I like doing things with you. I feel like, with your support, I could get through anything that might happen to me, because I feel very safe, and very happy with you. As far as things that make me happy… well, that’s complicated. - I, also, truly enjoy working hard for something, knowing that I did good work, and seeing it through to the finish. When I get rewarded for something like that, I feel like I really deserve what I’ve earned, and I can really enjoy that reward. This, of course, doesn’t happen all too often, because it usually involves a lot of time investment. But when it does happen, it can easily put me into a good, confident mood for a long period of time. - Respect. This is something I don’t get very often from people. So, when it does happen, it means a lot to me. Typically, the only person I get significant respect from is Sean. Sean understands me. He understands that I’m different from most people. He understands those differences, and instead of judging me, he respects me for those differences. Sean is the only person I know who has come very close to completely understanding me, and for that, he will always hold a special place in my heart. I don’t care what genetics says. He is my brother, and I would defend him with my life. This is the value I place on respect. - Adventure is something that can make me very happy. I enjoy seeing new things, and being in new places. I enjoy the mystery of it all, not knowing exactly what to expect. I don’t always like adventure. I like having some control over my surroundings and what happens to me most of the time. - Many simple things. Captain crunch in a plastic cup and league of legends at 10 am with you. Beer and watching Shameless with Sean on a nice day. Krabby patties. Giving you a piggy-back ride back to the car. Riding a roller coaster on a sunny day. Listening to good music with a friend. Learning about something new and exciting. Playing a game I really like. Getting a cute text from you at 11 am for no other reason than to make me smile. Seeing you smile. Watching a good movie. Going to whole foods. Buying something I really want. It could be so many different things. But, sometimes it’s the simplest things that make me the happiest. - Being cared about. Again, it doesn’t happen very often at all, but when people do something to show me that they care about me, it means more than could describe. If it doesn’t happen for awhile, it can be really harmful to me. I don’t really need to feel cared for… I can ignore the loneliness most of the time… but I secretly crave the feeling of being needed. - Discovery. Understanding the world. Science. Most people don’t understand this, but I love the feeling that I get when I learn something that makes me understand the world better. I lived my entire life up to a point never knowing what the world was made of. I didn’t like it. Then I started to learn about things. Atoms. Protons and neutrons. Quarks, electrons, and guons at an even smaller level. At a large level, planets, stars, nebulae, supernovae, pulsars and neutron stars, black holes and galaxies. Cosmic super-structures and the boundaries of our universe. Once I had passed those things, being so physical and knowable, I moved on to even more challenging subjects. Time, gravity, space, existence, reality, consciousness. I learned, absorbing all the information I needed to come to conclusions in every one of those areas. My understanding of the world is so thorough and widespread that I can make connections to everything. I can look at a bumblebee and see it’s atoms, the physics that makes it stay in the air, the carbon that was forged in the billion atomic bombs inside a supernova, the evolution of a single bacteria to an intelligent being. I see more than just a bumblebee, I see the universe. This understanding of the universe is one of my greatest sources of inspiration and motivation for life. - Getting something in the mail. A letter, a package, whatever. Even if I bought it for myself, I really love finding out what it is and opening it.
This may not be everything that makes me happy, but I think I covered a lot of it. It’s pretty disorganized, but there yah go.
